SOS - Spiritual Orientation Summary

An Idea That Is Bigger Than One Man

"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." 1Cor 15:34.

The Society Of Medical Evangelists [SOME], is all about orienting us all to the greatest and most urgent need for a revival of true godliness among us, i.e. Seventh-day Adventists. This is not some isolated ambition nor is it a 'one idea' agenda that promotes a narrow view of the work of the gospel.

In fact, the whole work of the gospel of the kingdom of God that is to bring an end to this age, now hangs upon meeting the greatest and most urgent of all our needs, which is a revival of true godliness among us.

All the various systems of the human body are needed to support life, however if the body is having difficulty breathing, if the body is experiencing respiratory arrest, if the body has no breath, then would it not be a good idea to focus on restoring breathing above every other need?

What really matters when we need air? Absolutely nothing!

The fact of the matter is that all the systems in our body cannot survive without air. We may live without a member or two but not without air. Many today have body parts removed, some have no stomach, others even have mechanical or artificial hearts but all who are alive must have breath.

The Society Of Medical Evangelists is located orpositioned precisely where the need is the greatest and most urgent and we deserve a lot more support than the little we now barely receive.
We are oriented to the correct position that we and all the servants of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ must now take in relation to this emergency, yet shockingly enough so many of us are in a neutral position where this spiritual crisis is concerned.

The body of Christ is the only object upon earth upon which Christ bestows His supreme regard [2SM 396].
This very body is presently experiencing respiratory arrest, spiritually speaking, and if satan has his way, there would never be another awakening, great or small, to the end of time [see 1SM 124]. Who now with us will come up to the help of the Lord against the might powers of darkness?

"Indifference and neutrality in a religious crisis is regarded of God as a grievous crime and equal to the very worst type of hostility against God." 3T 281.

Absence of true godliness among us is the true religious crisis which exist right now among us and this very need for its revival demands that we become oriented to the position and work of our great and merciful high Priest.

This revival is all about being like God or godlike which requires first and foremost that we know what God is like.
And we cannot know what God is like unless we are constantly beholding Him, for we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is, and this is how we may have boldness in the judgment because we as He is, so are we in this world [2Cor 3:18; 1John 3:2; 4:17].

Remember, that our greatest and most urgent need is a revival of true godlikeness, a revival of true likeness to God.
This need for godlikeness precedes all labor for the enlargement of the Kingdom of God for as it was under the former rain so it must be under the latter but will be far greater in this time of the blotting out of sins and that is;

"One interest prevailed. One object swallowed up all others. All hearts beat in harmony. The only ambition of the believers was to reveal the likeness of Christ’s character, and to labor for the enlargement of His kingdom." COL 120, 121.

That was what happened in the upper room where the disciples of Christ tarried as they wait for power to come from the presence of the Lord.
We are now to come and tarry in Jerusalem, which is above, within the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary if we are to receive the outpouring of the latter rain that is to fall upon all those whose tarrying results in the formation of Christlike character.

It needs to be repeated that a revival of true godliness or true holiness, which is one and the same thing, which we so desperately needed comes only by way of tarrying or dwelling in the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary by the faith of Jesus.
Only those who are inhabitants of Jerusalem, which is above, the mother of us all will receive of the true outpouring of the Spirit of grace and of supplication [see Zech 12:10].

This is precisely where orientation really matters. Because we are out of synchronization with our great and merciful high Priest there is need for us to correctly align ourselves with His heavenly ministry, particularly with reference to His present position and work. Why is that?

"The subject of the sanctuary and the investigative judgment should be clearly understood by the people of God. All need a knowledge for themselves of the position and work of their great High Priest. Otherwise it will be impossible for them to exercise the faith which is essential at this time or to occupy the position which God designs them to fill." GC 488.

Most Seventh-day Adventists who are not oriented to the above fact, are thus praying in vain and working for the Lord, 'like the devil'. How oriented are you, dear friend to this present truth?
